Promotion is only available from 11/01/2022 to 12/31/2022. Program Referee must be an AOCU member in good standing with required minimum balances reflected, no past due balance on loans and has not caused AOCU a loss. Potential member must be referred by an existing AOCU member and qualify for membership with AOCU. AOCU completed application and opening a share savings account are required to become a member. A $5 minimum balance is required to open and must be maintained in a Membership Savings Account at all times. Existing Alabama ONE members cannot refer themselves, other existing members, or receive the incentive if they are a joint account holder or custodian on the new account that was referred. If two existing members refer the same potential new member, we will incent the first valid referral we receive verified by date and time stamp. Alabama ONE Refer-A-Friend Program incentive earnings are limited to $50 per individual member per calendar year. Incentives are only paid for: 1) qualifying accounts (checking, money market, etc.) with a minimum deposit of $25 or more or 2) loans of $1,000 or more. Incentive will be deposited into the member’s share savings account at the beginning of the month following the qualifying event. Refer-a-Friend incentive may be taxable as interest income and reported on IRS Form 1099-INT. Status of Incentive: By participating in the refer a friend program, each party waives all rights of privacy and confidentiality relating to their status as an Alabama ONE Credit Union member, and releases Alabama ONE Credit Union and its employees from all liability in this respect regarding this specific Refer-A-Friend program. The Referred Person authorizes Alabama ONE Credit Union to disclose their program status to the Referrer.
